FUE TECHNIQUE

Minimal
Invasive

Follicular unit extraction (FUE technique) is a hair transplant technique with excellent results, a very fast and minimally invasive recovery.

Due to the large number of benefits and advantages it possesses, it is considered the best hair transplant technique.

Below we describe in detail what a hair transplant is like in our medical center.

STEP BY STEP

Step 1
Subpoena
Arrival of the patient at the clinic

Once the patient arrives at the medical center, the person responsible for the capillary area will be waiting to accompany him and indicate where the surgical area is. Once there, you will have a few minutes to change and prepare for the intervention.

Step 2
Presentation
Presentation Medical Staff

The nurse in charge of accompanying the doctor throughout the procedure will receive the patient in the operating room. The doctor will explain to the patient as a detail how the operation will be, which consists of two parts: extraction and implantation.

Step 3
Photographs
Preoperative photographs

Before starting the transplant, a few photographs will be taken to compare the final result of the surgery with the patient's appearance before starting the intervention and be able to compare it with the final result. Of course, patient privacy is always maintained.

Step 4
Clarifications
Patient Information

Medication indicated to avoid and be able to control possible infections (Antibiotic prophylaxis) is supplied. The extraction and implantation phases can last from two to four hours, depending on the follicular units to be implanted.

Step 5
Design
Final design of the surgery

According to the tastes of the patient and the suggestion of the doctor, in a pre-operative consultation a pre-design will have been carried out to achieve a perfect and natural result.  In the operating room, the design that was agreed upon is redone and drawn in the receiving area.

Step 6
Anaesthesia
Painless

The anesthesia used will be local, therefore, the patient will remain awake throughout the intervention and will not run any type of risk. It is applied by zones, the anesthesia is instantaneous and painless. The patient is asked if he perceives pain during surgery.

Step 7
Extraction
Follicular unit extraction

Once the donor area has been chosen, which will be the lateral or posterior part of the scalp, and the anesthesia has been injected, we will remove the follicular units from the patient's head, being able to rest while resting, since due to the anesthesia you will not feel pain.

Step 8
Conservation
Preservation of follicular units

Throughout the intervention, an exact control of the total number of hairs is carried out; first a counter counts the follicular units and then a nurse counts the total number of hairs that each follicular unit has to keep track of what was extracted.

Step 9
Rest
Lunch break

The rest time will vary between 30 or 45 minutes depending on the duration of the procedure. In this break the patient can make a short phone call or eat something light.

Step 10
Implantation
Implantation of follicular units

In this stage, the follicles are grafted one by one in the recipient area of the patient's head and performed under local anesthesia as in the previous phase. It is done with Implanter to give the correct direction, depth and angle.

Step 11
Photographs surgery
Post-surgical photographs

Once all the surgery is finished, photographs are taken again with the different perspectives to check the significant change after the operation and the new appearance or image of the patient.

Step 12
Indications
Post-operative indications

The patient must follow a few steps for the survival and care of the new hair. Therefore, the patient will be explained a series of instructions regarding care, medication, hair washing, evolution, graft growth and possible side effects.

Shared experiences

Our way of working is based on the dedication to want to do the FUE Technique well.

The commitment of the team is to ensure that each and every one of the phases that make up the protocol of action is respected in each surgery.

The daily work helps us to grow, we are aware that patients demand quality surgeries and in our hand is to give them the result they want.

FUE TECHNICAL ADVANTAGES

No scalpel is used, nor are stitches made.

It does not leave a visible scar for the human eye, since it does not require stitches, unlike the Strip technique.

NO SCALPEL

The recovery period with this technique is shorter, faster and painless.

You can wear your hair short because there is no visible scar.

RECOVERY

Hairs from other parts of the body can be used for extraction.
It allows you to select the type of follicular units needed. (1, 2, 3 or 4 hairs).

BHT

There is no risk of losing nerve sensation or vascular or nerve damage.

RISKS

Possibility of several interventions in a row.
Follicular units maintain their integrity.
The instruments used for the procedure are microsurgical.

OBSERVATION

DISADVANTAGES

This technique is more laborious and therefore the surgery is slower, because when removing the units one by one it takes longer.

EXTRACTION

In most men you have to cut your hair, because you need a lot of units.
